Workshops typically run for 3–6 hours, with small group sizes to maximise hands-on time. Canine Conditioning

A deep dive into canine conditioning and physiotherapy with Veterinary Physiotherapist Amy Stone.

We looked at how we can support our dogs by taking the time to warm up and cool down before and after exercise – if it is good enough for athletes and yoga advocates, why not for our dogs?

The greater our understanding of our own dog’s normal movement patterns and gait the better we are enabled to support their physical health and react when we notice changes.

BREED SPECIALISTS

If you’ve owned several different breeds over the years, you’ve probably noticed how certain traits and behaviours are more prominent in some than others.

Humans have selectively bred dogs for specific roles, resulting in distinct breeds with their own characteristics.

We spent a glorious day celebrating all things Border Collie with Sam Humberstone. We explored games designed to tap into each dog’s strong instincts—helping them feel good doing what they’re hardwired for.

MEDICAL DETECTION DOGS

This fascinating evening gave us the chance to learn more about the remarkable work of the Medical Detection Dogs charity.

We heard about how dogs are trained to detect the scent of human disease and alert people with medical conditions to changes in their health.

The talk was a great mix of science and real-life stories, highlighting the impact of these dogs in both research and everyday life. It was a chance to appreciate yet another way in which our dogs' incredible abilities can make a meaningful difference.
