how I can help you and your dog
Whether you want to teach behaviours that you value, fine-tune (or lose!) some problem habits or try scentwork - for fun, quality time together working together as a team and using your dog's brain - you’re in the right place.
cerys and pongo
you’re in good hands with me.
Whether you’ve got a soon-to-arrive new puppy (“where’s the manual?”), an adolescent who seems to have forgotten everything (and developed a serious case of selective hearing), a busy brain that needs a job to prevent them from going self-employed (especially those clever working breeds!), a sensitive soul who could do with a confidence boost, or a distinguished senior who’d love a new, low-impact activity – you’re in good hands.
I use welfare-focused methods – for both you (think good coffee and a few laughs!) and your dog (toys and tasty treats in a safe, supportive learning environment). From here on, we’re a team.

what do my clients say?
“I was looking for an enriching and confidence- building activity to do with my somewhat sensitive spaniel…it’s fair to say we are hooked. We learn loads, all while having fun together. Cerys is brilliant at explaining things… while also creating a supportive, fun and informative environment.”
Elizabeth and Marty
Working Cocker Spaniel
I’m Cerys, and I can’t wait to meet you.
From volunteering in rescue centres gaining firsthand experience working within rehabilitation teams, to years of study, exams and coursework, I am excited to have the opportunity to team up and work with you and your dog.
I am registered with the ABTC as an Animal Behaviour Technician (ABT) and Animal Training Instructor (ATI) and am a full ABT member of the both the APBC and PACT. A lot of acronyms and letters but they offer you peace of mind about my credentials, my skills and importantly my methods – work with me and relax, knowing that I choose kind, ethical, welfare- focused and fun methods. I also follow the strict codes of conduct for those organisations so I may refer you to a Vet Behaviourist or Clinical Animal Behaviourist if appropriate.

am I the right fit for you?
Have you felt like group classes were not an option for you as your dog can struggle being close to unfamiliar dogs? But this doesn’t mean you have to miss out. Join my scent detection classes and become part of our community.
Do you want to make your dog happy doing something they will love, instead of finding yourself saying NO all the time?
Have you retired from agility or competitive obedience, but you are missing the buzz of goals, and competitions?
Have you tried to tire your dog out with physical exercise, but they just seem to be getting fitter and fitter? Exhausting!
Have you had to walk at silly o’clock in the morning or late at night to avoid other dogs? It’s lonely isn’t it? But you still want to train your dog, make friends, and have fun?
Have you become invisible to your dog when you head out for a walk? But at home, it’s so different and they’re actually your perfect soulmate.
Let’s begin.
Let’s explore that life together, made better.
